1. FEELING GROUNDED & IN YOUR BODY, DAILY

At times we can get too caught up in the past or further and not really paying attention to what is truly in front of us or how we choose to live in the NOW moment. Feeling grounded is about being and feeling fully in your body.

When you are grounded, you conscious, aware and fully present. Ready to experience your life, in any way that you decided.

The ‘Self-Awareness Practice’ I share below will help you get comfortable with feeling grounded and learning to listen to your body.

Self-Awareness Practice:

• Take time throughout the day to feel into your body:

  • Notice your butt as you are sitting on your chair.

  • Notice your feet on the floor. Notice your breathe.

  • You don't need to change your breathe. Just notice. - Notice the sensations and the feelings.

  • Take time to look around in your environment, while you are noticing your breathe, your feet and your body touching the chair or surface.

  • Feel into your body and notice your environment

Using Essential Oils - I like to put doTERRA's Balance blend on my feet and feel myself fully anchoring into my body. Using the ‘Awareness Practice’ from above with this essential oil. You can also diffuse the Balance blend to create a supportive, grounded environment.

Black Tourmaline crystal - Wear or carry a black tourmaline crystal with you.  Black tourmaline is a very grounding crystal, helping you feel fully in your body, while cleansing and protecting your aura.

2. DRINK 8+ GLASSES OF WATER A DAY

Water! Water! Water! Our bodies are made up of 70% water making it an essential element that is needed for survival and renewal of your cells. Water is also a powerful, programmable substance.

Dr. Masaru Emoto’s research has shown us the power of positive thoughts, words and intentions of water.

If you are not familiar with his work, he took water samples from various places, clean and unclean areas. He froze them and then observed them under a microscope. The results were remarkable. Those samples from clean places made amazing crystal formations. Not the ones from the unclean places.

He also tested what thoughts, intentions and music have on water, using the same process as above. He found that love, appreciation, attention - higher vibrational thoughts/intentions produced amazing crystal formations. Those with lower vibrational thoughts and intentions of anger and abuse caused the water to not form crystals at all. Check out the images and messages from water: Dr. Emoto’s Website

With that said, we know that over 70% of our body is made up of water. We now know, through the experiments of Dr. Emoto, that we can change the formation and energy of water with our intentions, consciousness and music. What would your life and health be like if you thanked it an appreciated water before you drank it? Or even appreciated and loved your body?

Send loving and kind vibes to your water and body and watch it transform in magical ways. Remember, ALL people are 70% water so your intentions and words affect them too!

3. CONNECT WITH YOUR INNER SOURCE

You are more than your physical body and you are never alone. You have a direct connection to Source, Spirit, God, the Universe (whatever that is for you). That connection is found right within your heart center. Your heart center is a direct link to the highest expressions of you.

Connecting with your Inner Source allows you to pull more of who you truly are into your everyday life. To know that you are never alone and that you are fully supported in anything that you do.

This knowing is so important because we tend to feel lost and alone here and this will pull us off of our inner desire to truly take care of ourselves.

How can you begin, re-activate or expand your connection to your Inner Source?

  1. Make the decision to connect. Simply state your intention.

  2. Listen to yourself from within - we often discredit ourself and look for answers outside. Take time daily to really get quite and ask yourself what you truly desire or what would best way to take care of yourself. You can truly use this connection to help you in all areas of your life.

  3. Start to notice when your Inner Source communicates with you - this could be a feeling, sensation, deep inner knowings, synchronicites, opportunities, people, places, animals messengers, etc.

A selenite crystal is a beautiful tool to help you connect with your inner source.  Spend time with it through meditation or when you are working with oracle cards.

You can also work with oracle cards daily. Pull one and read the energy or insight that comes to you. It will help you deepen your connection and trust what you truly receive.

This is your direct communication to your Inner Source, so it will be very helpful to acknowledge and appreciate this connection. Thank you and Gratitude go a long way!

4. Listen to Your Emotions

Emotions. We all have them. I like to think of them as our guidance system. They are neither good nor bad but a way that we can identify what is going on inside and even on the outside of us. They can help us see a bigger picture of who we truly are.

More and more research is showing that are tides (emotions) are linked to our health. When you stop to think about it, I AM sure you can see it play out that way in your life too. So many of us have been taught that we can’t be angry. We can’t show our emotions. We can’t tell other people how we really feel. This is an aspect that allows our bodies to hold on to dis-ease.

I believe many of us were not taught how to be with our tides (emotions) or how to express them in a healthy way.

It is OK to feel anger, hurt and upset. It is how you react with the emotion that can be used for good or be used to harm yourself and others, which we don’t want to do. Making everything positive and not allowing yourself to feel “the negative”.....you are still stuffing your emotions down.

I encourage you to begin to listen to your tides. Be inside your body when you have them. You don’t need to fix them but allow them to be seen, feel them and release. Believe me, this takes a lot of practice. As my wonderful friend always reminds me, “You are Human!” It is OK feel and experience your tides (emotions). They are a part of this experience.

One of my favorite things to help with my emotional state is to use essential oils. Both tides (emotions) and essential oils are chemically based.

Essential oils support:

  • Healthy cell function

  • Anchors healthy biochemistry

  • Promote physical and emotional detoxification

I love to diffuse essential oils into my environment. Especially the emotional aromatherapy blends from dōTERRA. Smell is the fastest way to impact the brain. Aromatic molecules travel to our olfactory bulbs which link directly to the emotional (limbic) seat of the brain. This process unlocks the amygdala, which is the center for emotions + emotional behavior. This is why breathing in essential oils can create an immediate emotional impact and an important self care tool.

5. NOURISH AND FUEL YOUR BODY

Your body is your sacred vehicle on your journey, here on Earth! Your body is also like an energy beacon.

When you feel good in your body, you shine and you go after what you truly desire. Allowing you to feel amazing and confident.

Keeping your body in optimal health and fueling it with optimal levels of micronutrients and macronutrients you will be able to repair, heal and raise your energy vibration. As we already know, our emotions have a huge part on our energy. So does what we put into and do with our body.

There is so much information in the public right now about what is actually the best “diet” for you. What I have to say about that is follow your intuition. Only you know. Your body feels it!

I believe in the importance of eating as close as you can to nature.

Avoiding as much as possible:

  • Processed foods

  • GMO food

  • Sugar, especially artificial sweeteners like aspartame

Add in more greens and vegetables. Veggies are full of vitamins and nutrients that your body craves for optimal health. Variety is key. Fruits are great too. So is healthy fats and proteins.

I also believe in the benefit of supplementation. Supporting your cells with vital nutrients that you are getting from your food. I recommend the Life Long Vitality Pack - it is full of essential nutrients, metabolism benefits, and powerful antioxidants designed to help promote energy, health, and lifelong vitality.

Some questions to ponder to help you in this area: How are you taking care of your body? How is your energy level? What do you need to let go of or add into that can support you to feeling better?

6. MOVE YOUR BODY

Movement is essential. Here are some key benefits:

• Promotes a healthy heart
• Stops resistance in your life
• Allows your creativity to flow
• Helps you tap into your Inner Source
• Ability to create and maintain a healthy weight • Shifts your energy

The best recommendation I have for movement is to get outside and walk. Nature is amazing at helping you gain clarity, shift energy and feel more grounded in your body. When you add that with walking, the benefits are amazing. Allow your mind to let go and use the ‘Awareness Practice’ from above to help you feel grounded in your body.

What are your favorite ways to move? What did you do as a child that you stopped doing? Those would be the first my recommendation to look into as far as expanding your areas of movement!

7. REST & SLEEP

Rest and sleep are vital to living healthy & inspired. When we push ourselves too much we end up disrupting our energy fields and creating illness and dis-ease within our body. How do we know this? We get sick. Our body starts to shut down and we are not even able to function at a minimal level.

Listening to your body is so important. Your body is a beautiful messenger that will let you know when you need to take it easy.

Experts recommend that you get about 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Every night we need to good amount of sleep to rejuvenate your cells and repair your body. It is important to allow for great sleep.

Essential oils are another great way to help you get into a calm state for relaxation and sleep. Especially when they are used aromatically.

My favorite is the essential oil blend, Serenity :

  • Promotes relaxation and a restful sleeping environment

  • Lessens feelings of tension and calms emotions

  • Calms the mind and soothes the senses

I love to diffuse this right before my family and I get into bed. I have also noticed that it creates a calming environment as you walk up.
